Kiri Mitchell // Dunedin School of Art
Kiri Mitchell was a full time chef before turning her creative skills to art. Her Masters project is the culmination of three year’s work. The works in "Milk" tell a story of three characters through oversize and large scale sculpture and stop-motion animation. “Milk” is a humourous response to the deluge of reality television which we are nightly subjected to and in particular the "side-show" treatment of obese people and the parading of the spectacle of the flesh. “It’s not Wallace and Grommit – sometimes art should be a little bit magic.”
